Organic cotton towel's just came in!

It's already mid March, it is a season flower smells.
Today's topic is about organic cotton towel came to 1F Azabu Interior. People think "Organic cotton = Ecological, safe" but I also didn't know well about it. But this time I learned about it. Recently we hear often this words "Organic cotton" from the trend of Eco&LOHAS.

So here what organic cotton is...
"Cotton grew in a field with more than 3 years cure with organic fertilizer and without using chemical pesticide such as insecticide, weed killer or Agent Orange" and it also applies for filature and texture.

The towel we received this time is from the brand "Ten i muhoh" and they are 100% organic cotton. Their texture is fluffy and smooth! You will be healed by this touch.

Made of high-class organic cotton, Supima extra long staple cotton features luster and soft texture. Material: 100% organic cotton, Made in Japan. Facecloth: 34x85cm, 1,050 yen. Bath Towel: 60x120cm, 3,150 yen.

*Slub yarn gauze border towel (Left in right above photo).
Green and ivory color matching naturally in border pattern. "Slub" means slub yarn used in border which woven gauze and pile double. It's thin but has incredible water absorbent. Material: 100% organic cotton, Made in Japan. Size and the price is same as Supima towel, Facecloth: aprox. 34x85cm, 1,050 yen. Bath Towel: 60x120cm, 3,150 yen.

This one here is not organic but regular cotton towel with pretty chic flower pattern. Above photo right is facecloth, left is a bath towel. One side has gauze layer. They are compact but have good absorbent. Facecloth is white and bath towel is beige. Fabric is from Japanese maker "adorno". Their textile has made imaging North Europe style "Coquelicot". 100% cotton, Made in Japan.

"tente" means tent in French. I can agree when I look from their side, it looked like a circus tent! It fits easily with Velcro.

Featuring Japanese items

This morning on the way to the office, I was excited to see cherry blossoms starting to bloom. Although we're still in winter attire, I feel the sunshine getting warmer.

Can't wait the spring to come!!

Have you ever seen this? Now a day it's hardly seen in Japanese ordinary house.

I used to see this in my house... the answer is Scroll Weights (Fuchin).
This is to hang on the edge of bar of hanging scroll. We call it "Fu-chin" in Japanese. As this literary means, "Controls winds", this is to keep the scroll stable from winds and it is a decoration at the same time.
Our Fu-chin has stone with tassel with price of 3,150 Yen.
We have a variation of stones and tassels. Foreign customers are quite curious about this use.

During consecutive holidays in end of November, I planted poinsettia and hanged Christmas wreath on the door. I thought it might be a bit early for Christmas but changed my mind when I saw Christmas decoration every where in town.
Our showroom, Azabu Interior’s 1F have also decorated with Christmas ornaments. I will feature in this blog for twice about these cute and reasonable items!

Photo right is a “Dancing Santa Clause” greeting everybody at the counter. You can purchase with 7,800 Yen.

This entry, I am going to show you some ornaments and trees. This is a red tree in the center of a round white wreath with many ornaments. Wooden white wreath is 1,029 Yen. It looks more than the price with warm taste.

Wooden tree ornament is to put many wreath and poinsettia ornament. It is so gorgeous!

Wood parts are dark brown. This one in photo is large one 11,600 Yen. Smaller one is 9,600 Yen.

The poinsettia shown on this tree is 105 Yen each. They are glittering. Wreath with pine cone is 368 Yen. Wreath with poinsettia is 315 Yen. Would be nice if you use as accent for table settings on the Christmas day!

Let me show you some wreath hanged on a pillar next to the steps.
Wreaths with vivid colors are reasonable for their large size. Those ones with Green, purple and red are 1,785 Yen.

A bit smaller wooden type with ribbons is 840 Yen. Gold one with pine cone is so gorgeous. This one is also only 1,575 Yen.
There is dining set in the right back side of the showroom imported from U.S.A.. Those pretty table setting will be shown in next entry but I will pick up Gold shining candles and tree displayed in the cabinet next to them.
Small gold candle 1,260 Yen, large 1,575 Yen. Shining gold tree is 3,570 Yen. They are chic but would be an accent for your room.
There is a big tree always sitting in the back area on 1 floor every year.
This is not for sale but those ornaments on it is for sale.
Green and red felt bags are 1,050 Yen.
Knit booty 630 Yen with either color red or white. You can keep sweets or like paper napkins!
Lastly, pretty reasonable trees under 1,000 Yen.
They have 3 colors, pink, green and gold with 840 Yen. They will make Christmas feeling for small corner.
In the middle of those trees is a glass candle holder 1,890 Yen. White snow crystal pattern and the snow land picture in and out side of the frosted glass are united with the candle light and make a dreamy shadow. It comes with mini candle.

Few more days to go for Halloween!

It’s been a while since last I wrote.
We settled up a new section named “Strolling around Tokyo Lease Corp.” in our English website and I was a bit busy updating articles.
I really want to recommend this blog to foreign people living around Tokyo area, since it is featuring reasonable lunch info and photo diary in English. Maybe this is enough advertising about our new section…isn’t it?
I see many spot having decoration of Halloween in town these days. I saw orange pumpkins in flower shop.

I am planning to bake a pumpkin pie this year as well. I prepared filling last weekend and put it in a freezer. You must have your own way to have fun in Halloween, right?

Gilded folding screen (2006-10[2])

How do you divide living and dining area? Here is an Asia choice, golden screen.
Just place golden screen with 4 panels together with oriental buffet or console table in front of the screen, then gorgeous room is ready. Tokyo Lease displays hand-painted oriental golden screen with flowers, birds, trees or dragons. Screens is also useful when concleaing messy area.

Asian furniture, lamp and decorations (2006-10)

Asian resort style is now in. Imagine gentle breeze rustle palm trees. As the sun sets, the dimly lit bamboo lamps shine the canopy beds with silk ceiling liner… On the dining table, candles are burning on the stone candle holders.
While in Asia, you can easily lease resort style furniture, stone candle holders, lamps and etc.
If you really like them, you can buy them with very little cost at the end of lease.

Obi - 500 years Japanese tradition (2006-11)

Obi is a long cloth wrap around waist when wearing Kimono.
Have you ever tried on Kimono? Wearing real kimono is very difficult. Even most of Japanese young people can not wear themselves. Yukata or summer Kimono is more casual and easy to wear. Our shop has small decorative items made of Obi.

Skovby (2006-11)

New container from Skovby has arrived. We are dealing extensive collection of cherry color dining sets, coffee tables and TV tables manufactured in Denmark. The quality and the style is outstanding. Cherry is most loved colors among all generations. In winter, cherry furniture will make warm and cheerful atmosphere.
What do you associate with Denmark? Little mermaid, cheese and Danish pastry …
Danish pastry is available at Andersen Bakery shop in the Ark Hills shopping arcade.

Tokyo Tower (2006-11-12)

Tokyo Tower is just 2 minutes walk from our office.
The tower is 333m in height, built in 1958. Visitors can go up to 250m by an elevator or by foot. There you can see Mt. Fuji and Tokyo bay. Tokyo tower serves as an antenna for the radio and TV stations in Tokyo. From November to the end of December, the tower is beautifully illuminated with the year number. Large Christmas trees and illuminations at the entrance attract lovers. Have you heard about the Tokyo Tower mid-night myth? If a couple see the Tokyo Tower when the light is being put off, then the couple will have a happy ending. Isn’t it romantic?
